By doing the delete I pencil I'm saving about $250 in fuel every 2000 miles of towing.
Running single I'm often seeing 25 mpg. Great mileage...saving the environment!
Passen Thru. Who peed in your cornflakes this morning? My truck doesn't smoke in the lowest setting. And that's where it is set all the time.
Lets take 2000 miles divided by 10 miles per gal., about the average towing heavy, 200 gals.
In order to get a $250.00 savings on the 2000 mile trip, you would have to get around 17 miles per gal. Lets use $3.00 per gallon. $250.00 divided by 3 = 83.3 gallons less for the 2000 miles , 2000 miles divided by 116.7 gals = 17.13 miles per gal. Your math may vary, but never the less ,its gotta be around a 7 mile per gal increase to achieve a $250.00 savings.
IMO you could drop that truck off a cliff ,and never get 17 towing.
Lets visit your 25 mpg. I often get 21 if driven right with my 2014 Ram 6.7 non deleted. I say often, you say often, so obviously we both are not averaging what we say we can get. So saving the environment thing, with the extra emissions you are spitting out, sorry don't buy your analogy .
If I am way off base here on the $250.00 savings, would like to see how its achieved .Obviously a lot different then whats pretty obvious with these trucks. You hear towing 10-12 almost across the board.
