This has been the stance from the OEM's for years so not really a profound statement. I would submit if this is an actual FCA dealer than they have great leverage to get warranty repairs performed.
In the last few years they have been MUCH more aggressive proving warranty wiolations since you can't hide the fact if someone adds any electronic device now.
