- IdaDExplorerDepending on how they discount it the pricing could be a major problem. I paid less for my Ram than the $41k listed base price in that article. If the only advantage the Titan has over one of the bigger diesels is marginally better fuel economy, that's going to be a tough sell.
I noticed in the photos it only has 6 lug wheels. I wondered if it might have 8. - transamz9Explorer

Motor Trend has a couple of articles on the truck as well:
Claim ~21 mpgUS on the Hwy portion of their own test run. ~18 combined.MT Mileage
And claim the curb weight of the high end Platinum Reserve truck they tested was 7431#. No GVWR though. A heavy truck ... what will the payload be?

Yes, a heavy one at that. The Platinum Reserve is only 580# lighter than my SRW 3500 Cummins/Asin that is pretty well equipped. My 3500 does really well at getting groceries too. I'm sure it rides better though. LOL! - IdaDExplorer

I don't think I'm impressed by the mpg either. My 2013 F350 dually 4x4 can get 20-23 hwy mpg if I keep it at 55-60.
You really have to compare the F350 on the same track using the same protocols (MT's "Real MPG"). But I don't think MT has done that. But they have tested the RAM 3500. From the same MT article:In comparison a four-wheel-drive 2014 Ram 3500HD Laramie Longhorn Crew Cab with the 6.7-liter Cummins turbodiesel I-6 (385 hp, 850 lb-ft) achieved 14.1/17.6/15.5 mpg.
Yep, and I'd also add that car rags probably don't get the best mileage during their road tests. My I6 actually gets a bit better mileage than those guys got in the Nissan. With comparable drivers and conditions I'm sure the Nissan does better than the bigger Cummins, though. - brulazExplorer

- boshogExplorerWow, price as tested was 63K. Might just as well buy a RAM Cummins and get payload.
- Cummins12V98Explorer IIIIf I didn't know better I would assume it is a Cummins truck with a Nissan motor!
