2017 Cars.com American-Made Index

I know this is important to some (I'm more of a global economy believer).

With the things one member here is so fond of posting, I am SHOCKED that a certain truck isn't on here......:R

  • The world has shrunk...it is all bascially 'one' economy

Have won Costco Dog lunches to some who won't comment again with this betcha...

Most all things in your household is NOT 100% American made, unless you have all old stuff before the globalization made possible by bean counters who only manage to 'their' bottom line...

Even read that some 'American made' clothes has cloth/yarn/thread/buttons/etc made outside of American borders...

If folks really, really want a 100% American made vehicle...look for one built in the 50's or so...maybe a 60's, but lots of small components were made in Japan by then...

Looks like it may have been at one time. A quick, unscientific Google search shows one article has it winning in 2010, just beating the Ram 1500, and another has it tying for first with the F150 and Ridgeline in 2014.

Seems like it's a traveling crown.
  • Honda is huge here, I live 10 miles from the Lincoln plant. They are now building another assembly line to start up Civic production next year.
  • Honda has been high in about every one of the articles I've seen on the subject for years. They are very invested in US facilities.
