I personally don't see much difference in spring thickness on the front end. Rear axles vary greatly though. But then I'm only comparing 2015's front ends. Truck Trend. Here, a website so that people can compare photos back to back on the 2015 models along with technical specs on frame thickness and types of steel used etc..... They stated a Dana S110 for the rear axle.
Again, these are 2015 models. 2017's appear to be significantly upgraded with a box'd frame to counter torsional twisting and re-investing into the suspension. These are the upgrades that make me say it's a monster. It's also part of the reason why I went RAM in 2013. 50ksi box'd frames. Didn't really know about the CP4 pump issue back then and frankly, I was about to walk out the dealership to look at an F-350 if they didn't want to play ball.
