I saw that the other day and it didn't surprise me since I towed a little more than that with my 2011 F150 over the Rockies a few times. Not once did I ever go under the rated speed going up hills. As far as the braking, it is ten times better when you manually downshift. The Ecoboost does not have that great of engine braking due to its size, but I never once felt my brakes were in danger overheating. I would buy one again if I didn't need to tow as much as I do now.
