I'm sure you know, but worth noting anyway, in 2014 (1500) and 2015 (HD) GM redesigned the whole truck and one of the notable changes was the dramatic reduction of noise heard in the interior.
But as others have said, all of the big 3 have made noticeable changes in the past few years.
Yes. I have test driven a 2016 3500 Duramax LTZ. I would have to test drive a gasser to compare.
