FishOnOne. You're making me hide my wallet from myself.
Just for shiggles, I decided to stop by my friendly Ford dealership today. I pulled out the trusty tape measure and began taking numbers on both the 350 and 450 duallies.
Oddly, the distance from the ground to the top of the bed rail and the distance from the floor of the bed to the top of the bedrail was the same for both trucks. The larger wheels on the 450 appear to make no difference.
From ground to the top of the bedrail was 58.5". From the floor of the bed to the top was 21.5".
My 2015 F350 SRW is about 58" or so from the ground to the top. The bed is 20.5" from floor to the top.
So in theory, they're so close, I'm not going to worry too much when and if I get one. I have my Reese on the middle setting and the camper is ever so slightly higher in the nose with the truck sitting level. It's not enough for most to notice. But of course, I do.
But my clearance from camper to bedrail is about as close as I'd want to get. So if I did get one of these trucks, I'd probably have to raise the Reese to the top.
