Yesterday morning, arrived at RDU airport at 4:30am. Flight left at 6:10. Landed in Columbus around 7:40. After breakfast, dealer's driver picked me up around 8:45. As we pulled into the Ford sales office, there was the truck sitting there ready to go. Of course, it took a couple of hours to do all the paperwork and deny all the paint protections and fabric seal, etc. Probably close to 11:30, I pulled out heading back to Raleigh. 490 miles and pulled into the driveway around 7:30.
I was exhausted. A fun but really long day. But I'd do it again if it meant the truck I wanted. Driving like that straight home for almost 500 miles gives you a lot of time to learn new things these trucks feature. Haven't touched the truck since putting it in the barn last night. It needs a bath terribly. LOTS of bugs on I-77 in W. Va. :)
Pics will be coming soon.
