Well said. I love my Tradesman, bottom of the line, trim level. Even at bottom of the line I have power windows/locks, cruise and AC. All the rest of that stuff is probably nice, but I don't want to pay for it.
Bottom of the line trim on these newer trucks isn't the same as it was even a few years ago. My truck has remote entry, power windows/locks, auto headlights, cruise, air, bluetooth/hands-free radio, USB ports, IBC, etc. The only thing I don't like are the chrome wheel covers but I'll get nicer than factory wheels when I swap out the stock tires and that will be a non-issue. The extra features on the higher trim levels are nice but they don't move the needle nearly enough to pay the hefty premium. Before tax my truck only cost $39k and change brand new. Not exactly cheap, but not bad for a new diesel considering what most pay for the higher trim level versions these days. - TravlingmanExplorer II

"See, you finally got it. B&W can't make a hitch rated at 25K for Ford and others can. It only took you about 5 posts to figure it out."
Just spoke to B&W my side to side mimi shock absorber that has a small leak. They are sending me out a new one today.
I asked about the 20K Puck system rating on the Ford and GM's. They said they test to the weakest component as in puck attachment and base footprint. RAM has the strongest frame/puck attachment and largest base so they were able to give it a 25K rating. They could not give the other two more than 20K as their stringent testing and high standards would not allow it.
Thanks for confirming they are not able to build a higher rated capacity hitch like other manufactures are.
I guess you did not read what I wrote. It has nothing to do with hitch strength. They test the whole system and their tests show an inferior puck system compared to RAM.
But hey if you really want to trust a number on a Chinese Made hitch go for it.
It shows it is SAE compliant, you know the thing you like to keep saying about your truck.
Here is a print out from Tweety's on a 26.5 Reese for the inferior Ford puck system.
Quick, easy hookup with a wide funnel area, 4-way pivoting head and a self-latching jaw that wraps around the king pin for maximum security. This hitch is a custom fit for the 2011 Ford Super duty with the Hitch Prep Package, or for other trucks, there is a custom under-bed rail system sold separately.
•Rated for 26,500 lbs. capacity / 6,625 lbs. pin weight capacity
•Increased king pin/jaw contact design, king pin indicator, and self latch jaw
•4 degree side to side pivot for better control
•Vertically adjusts from 15" to 17-1/2"
•Wider footprint for increased stability
•Vehicle specific under bed mounting kits (sold separately)
•90 degree Wiring harness included (50-97-410)
•SAE J2638 Compliant
•Limited Lifetime Warranty
I know, maybe B&W can make that shop vac since they can't make a bigger hitch. - BedlamModeratorRereading my post, subjective trim choices are the norm. Few can be objective when it comes to style or color...

I have spent PLENTY of time raising farm animals. There is NO comparison between the LongHorn and any other trim level. Actually the Limited is just as high of quality.
I had full intentions of buying a Laramie with leather until I sat in my parents LongHorn.
You're right, none are on the same ugly level as the Longhorn trim or trying too hard seem so Cadillac/Urban cowboyish.
I was going to buy a Laramie Longhorn too...until I sat in one. Those gauges and the tribal...bleh!
I don't like the Longhorn trim either. That's why I got the Limited. - ShinerBockExplorer

I never liked the King Ranch trim. Ugly as all get out just like the Laramie Longhorn. Both just scream "I am a wanna be Coka-Cola Cowboy and have never spent one day on a ranch".
I have spent a few days at the King Ranch. Never saw one "King Ranch" packaged truck. Most were bare bone XL's 4wd's like the white trucks you see in the background of those videos.

Ford King Ranch... Often imitated...But Never Duplicated.
Fish we have die hard Ford friends that could not stop talking about the high quality of our Longhorn interior. They could not believe how soft and supple the leather was. They said their KR leather was very stiff and uncomfortable in comparison.
Maybe the 17's have improved.
