I wonder if a "forever truck" really exists? I plan to retire in 4 - 6 years and am wondering when I should pull the trigger on a truck I know I will need. I am 54, so that means that truck would have to last without too many major expenses for a very long time. My drool truck is the F350 diesel DRW. I feel like I am looking at porn every day, its really bad :).

I think by the time a truck is over 10 years old it is generally getting pretty old regardless of what kind of shape it is in. I have zero desire for a new truck now but expect to be ready in 4 more years. I just hope that 4 years from now there are some major improvements made with regard to emission technology and fuel economy....maybe they will be auto pilot by then.
