- Grit_dogNavigatorSome guys would biatch about being .$&.&!; off by a supermodel! Many of the previous posters fall into that category.
It's too high
It's too low
Fenders look too tall
Hood looks like a Chevy.
Man there's only so many new car designs to go around. New SD looks decent to me and I'm not a Ford guy. Bout time they scrapped the 17 year old chassis for something new.
Gotta hand it to Ford to keep their trucks top of the heap in sales with outdated technology for this long. Welcome the new SD.
If the big 3 keep upping the anti, we will have class 8 daily drivers by the next new chassis in 2035! - Grit_dogNavigator

did they join the 21st century and get away from the twin I beam front suspension? the rear shocks are still mounted inboard of the springs
The question is whether you have been paying attention for the last 20 years. Guess not since there hasn't been a twin I beam or TTB for about that long! - Community AlumniFrom looking at the uncovered version, I got to say I really like the lines of this truck.
- FordloverExplorerIf not for the lugnuts, I would have guessed it was one of the prototype or mockup of the 2015 F-150's, the photo makes it look smaller/more trim than the current SD.
I prefer manuals in sports cars. As long as there is a manual transmission vehicle on the market, it's where my $$ will go. - hone_eagleExplorerpower train changes -yes read the links
re manual transmissions - never ever again because thousands ask but only 3 or 4 actually order
(talk is cheap) - blofgrenExplorerAny powertrain changes that anyone knows about?
Note to Ford: bring back the manual transmission option! - jus2shyExplorerIf that no-camo pic is legit, I think it will look fairly good. It may be the camera angle, but it does look a little out of proportion on the front, maybe too much sheet metal above the tire well. Things always look different in person, but this does bring the family resemblence much closer than it currently is. Hopefully this is an all new truck, but maybe they'll pull a RAM and run with a new body then update the frame underneath halfway through the model run.
For once, it seems like the camo is really effective. Really good pattern to throw off the lines and make it harder to judge form except around the border of the vehicle and background. - kw_00ExplorerI don't care for the front.

Looks like a F-150 on a super duty frame. I guess it would be cheaper to manufacturer one body instead or two. Just stick a 150,250,350 badge on it.
Seriously, how many years did Ford do specifically this? They'd only be returning to ancient history...with an uglier grill. To be honest, I never like the direction of the current and previous Superduty's looks. Going back to the same body style probably makes a lot of sense, though I find the 150's fit a little on the less roomy side, and seating position is more car-like. On balance, I don't think those two things are a positive direction for a heavy duty truck line. This looks like a mistake in the making. Time will tell.
