- gijoecamExplorerLooks like a cross between an Explorer and a Taurus nose... I've seen a few around work, and didn't care for the black plastic look at first, but it's starting to grow on me...

Man, these things just keep getting uglier and uglier.
Except for the RAM it's sexier than ever with it's latest grill.
Uglified the new Global Ranger as well - BedlamModeratorThat's like saying all motorcycles are straight piped Harleys. There are plenty of quiet and clean diesels. I wouldn't own a diesel if it smoked or the sound arrived before I did. Even my my old N.A. Perkins burned clean and was quiet.

Haven't seen or heard a Harley yet that has any kind of muffler. People make fun of the kids with the coffee can mufflers on their Honda Civics; but a Harley is the noisy mid-life crisis equivalent. The old men with big beer bellies and grey beards that ride them seem to need to rev the heck out of them too. :B
Same exact thing can be said for the owners/drivers of diesel pickups.:B - StefoniusExplorer

I agree with both of you. I have no desire to wake the dead with my exhaust pipes. I've often thought that the volume of sound coming out of a truck/car/motorcycle rises in inverse proportion to the masculine endowment of the driver.Bedlam wrote:
Don't worry, it would be a real motorcycle. One wonders how many HD riders are HD guys first and cyclists second. Those guys with the loud pipes are same guys who had baseball cards in the spokes of their bicycles when they were 8 years old and never grew out of it. I note that many geezer motorcyclists have the Baby Boomer combover--a bald guy with a ponytail.
The only way I could own a Harley would be to get the blacked out edition with a real muffler (some would argue this is no longer a HD).

I think this "model year" business is getting way ahead of itself. :R
The designated model year and the actual calendar year are loosing their relationship just as the F-150, 250, etc. series have departed from half ton, three quarter ton, etc. designation.
Actually, the model year business is the same as it's ever been... An automobile manufacturer can only sell a particular model year across one January 1st. For example, Ford sold the '97 model year F150 January 2nd of 1996 to somewhere in August or September of 1997, and the 1996 model along-side it from mid-95 to the end of 1996, all while re-tooling all three plants to make the new truck. They did it again with the 2003 model year truck, selling the 2004 'Heritage Edition' along-side the then-new 2004 trucks. - Cummins12V98Explorer III

I think Ford (and GM) truck owners are far more interested in function than styling. I think Dodge owners are more interested in styling than Ford or Chevy owners are, indeed, I remember they had difficulty giving Dodge trucks away until they made them self consciously pretty about 20 years ago.
Note too the change in name from Dodge to Ram; that tells you something about the market being aimed at.
:) Hi, if it wasn't for the Cummins diesel engine Dodge wouldn't be around long enough to change their name to Ram. It wasn't because they made them pretty, because they are pretty ugly!
Are you saying this is ugly?
It's beautiful, but I'm a bit biased since my purchase a year ago!
When is the new Mobile Suites due to be ready? I'm really looking forward to seeing that!
It has been built and is going thru paint, MorRyde for alignment and Cummins/Onan for gen then back to paint and shipped to OK then we will pickup mid April.
Look at RV's4Less web site under Inventory 39TKSB3 it will be at the top of the list the color is CinderRidge inside will look mostly the same also.
Hey will Ford have a completely new truck this go around in 2017? If so I will bet they are SAE J2807 compliant and will NOT have the frame flex as the current models. - ib516Explorer IIHaven't seen or heard a Harley yet that has any kind of muffler. The more I see of it the more it drives me to the base models. The only way I could own a Harley would be to get the blacked out edition with a real muffler (some would argue this is no longer a HD).
