Check the payload yellow door sticker on any F150 you look at. The payload varies from 1300lb to over 2000lb depending on options. The limiting factor is usually the rear axle weight rating.
Payload only pertains to what goes in the bed, correct?
Payload is any weight you add to the truck. People in the cab, firewood or FW pin weight in the bed, bumper hitch tongue weight of a TT etc...
My previous TT was a 9000lb+ 35' TT. Too much tail, not enough dog. It swayed and was affected by side wind more than I cared for. The FW I have now tows wonderful.
It can be done with the right combination.
