Last year towed my ~10,000# trailer across Douglas Pass in CO; 15mph curves and 4 - 13% grades on both sides of the hill.
Did Palo Duro Canyon SP in Texas this week. 10% grades in and out.
Yep, sure wish I had that tiny ecoboost instead of wasting my money on the 6.7l 2500.
Like Tom G2 said, depends on where you're going.
I have no doubt that the ecoboost is a good engine. But is it going to withstand repeated tasks as these as well as a heavier duty machine? For ocassional hard tows it may be just fine. For repeated hard tows and especially downhill control I still have serious doubts.
Whatever you choose I hope it serves you well.
