I'm sure the new 2018 F150 is a great truck, but regardless of how it's configured, it's still a half ton truck. I'm a bit skeptical of the ones that claim over 2,000 lb of payload, but I'm sure it can handle it.
Just my opinion, but i think once you're over 30' in length and over 7500 lbs weight, your on the cusp of 3/4 ton truck territory. But i do like more margin than most.
