We all know that many F-150 owners are happy towing 6,000 pound trailers. The OP asked about 9,000 pounds or the 12,000+ pounds that Ford advertises.
A 4,500 pound aluminum pickup towing a 9,000 pound trailer that is 9 feet tall, 30 feet long and 8 feet wide might get interesting in an emergency situation.
