Tell how your 12,500lbs tow rated and 2,600lb payload 1/2 ton TV handled your 8,000 to 10,000 lbs TT.
My 2008 Ford F-150 Super Crew was not rated for 12,500 nor did it have a 2600 pound payload,it was rated for 9400 pounds towing and 1800 pounds payload. It handled my 2010 30 foot/8500 pounds loaded very good.
I towed the same trailer with my old Ford F-250 and my sons 2002 Chevy HD 2500..The F-150 beat the old F-250 hands down in every category but the newer Chevy HD 2500 was deemed about equal to my F-250..The 2500 HD was 100% stock while the F-150 had air bags.
2500 HD vs F-150 pulling the same 30 ft trailer...The power between the Chevy 6.0 and the Ford 5.4 pulling the trailer was equal with a very slight edge in paper horse power, going to the Ford.
The ride and handling were all but the same but as expected the tongue weight set the 2500 HD down more without the bags but with the WD hitch they were equal again. Both trucks had 10 ply E-rated tires and stock suspension..
Had they both been 2008 models,it could have changed my experience in both but the 2500 HD was six years older than the new(at the time) F-150.Without the trailer in tow, they both road about the same(empty) because of the airbags on the F-150.
I would not even hesitate to haul a 9-10K trailer with a new properly equipped F-150.
