I just watched the park guy picking up the park trash with his F-250. Does he "need" a F-250? Probably not for 99% of the time, but he does not want to overload the vehicle in case someone throws out a few buckets of bricks. I haul people which is just as important as bricks.
I am not a member of the weight police. Now that I have a 4,500 pound trailer, I chose a F-150. When I towed 9,000 pounds, I had a 2500 HD. Both were up to the task with room to spare for a few buckets of bricks.
