Your conclusion is that "Full floating axles cause accidents"? Funny. Who really counts lug nuts on wrecks?
No..Not at all..My conclusion was they were all 3/4 ton or larger tow vehicles meaning, it was not the vehicle, but the driver that caused the wrecks.Error in judgement was the cause of all,not the rating of the truck. The so called beefier truck will not help you avoid an accident if you do not tow with responsibility.
Everyone seems to think if you get the larger/heavier truck,it will save you from accidents. It won't...Driver judgement will save you from any or atleast, most accidents.
I will place my bet on a seasoned driver in a 1/2 truck that is maxed out or even over specs over a newbie that reads these forums where pulling a travel trailer 70+ MPH is okay.It is until....happens.
A modern 1/2 ton truck is more than capable of towing a 9,000 pound trailer,if the driver is....If he isn't,then a 3/4 won't help a bit.
