The multiple answers to your question have been posted repeatedly. In my case, a 250/2500 won't fit in my garage, and isn't as economical or comfortable as my 1500, which is my daily driver. Like many others around here, I've been doing this quite a few years myself. My half tons do an admirable job lugging and towing whatever I throw at them. And most of that is done in the mountains.
