I will also add that RVers are not the only ones that push the limits of their Vehicles.
Any one who farms or works construction knows that 1/2, 3/4 or 1 ton are just suggestions. Particularly at harvest. :)
If Ford or anyone else wants to make a 1/2 ton that tows 12,000 lbs. they know they are working into a niche market. Likewise the F-450 for $90,000.00 plus.
Like the Ranchero and EL Camino, they sell as long as there is a market.
