Chevy 6.6 with 6 speed for reference.
It looks like the 10 speed transmission may have made a HUGE difference for the Ford. The Chevy got down to 25mph before downshifting. Spoiler: 11 minutes 53 seconds.

Quick summerary. It easily ran the speed limit at 3,500rpm, just loafing with a speed of 7 minutes, 58 seconds. Gave 3.5mpg. Adjusting for the load, inline with the 3/4 ton trucks. I wish that they had loaded the trailer to the max weight so the that comparison would have been better.
One more reference: 2017 Ford 6.2 towing 11,000lbs
