I will say that doing mods like these will increase emissions output of these engines by a considerable amount similar to deleting a diesel especially with the tuning . The only difference is that he is likely emitting more CO, CO2, and more NOx than stock that cannot be seen while diesels emits more NOx and PM that can be seen.
Not saying this is wrong or bad, just putting it out there because people tend to chastise diesel owners for doing the same thing yet give gasoline hotroders a pass all because diesel emission can be seen and gas emissions can't yet they cause more harm to the environment. The second people mention deleting a diesel, someone talks about emissions yet not one person says a word when it is a gas engine even though it is emitting more greenhouse gases than the diesel. Not trying to start a diesel and gas war here, just pointing out the fact that this is no different than deleting a diesel.
