- ksssExplorerNice to hear the mirrors extend electronically. Talked to my commercial salesman today (Chevy), and was told that if you have a fleet number you can order the new trucks next month and will see them around June. Not sure on the GMC version. Fleet ordered vehicles will be fill first, beyond any floor ordered pickups, those would start hitting the ground in August.

VERY nice looking truck! Interior is still not to the Limited/LongHorn level IMHO.
Hey doubters, why are they suddenly able to tow in excess of 30k all of a sudden as I predicted they would???
ONE simple reason, maybe two.
This would be my second choice for a new Dually.
I consider my truck to have a very nice interior but I don't really pay attention to it. My truck is a tool and function, convenience and reliability are more important to me.- Cummins12V98Explorer III

I doubt that GM will ever answer your question but I would bet it is the new transmission co-developed with Ford.
YES and second reason will be most likely an optional 4.10. - ExxWhyExplorerWho will be the first one to extend the trailer awning while rolling down the highway with the touchscreen? Must be some failsafe that has to fail first I guess.
Like the looks of the outside, very intrigued by the new gas engine. Towing tech stuff looks helpful. Did not like the Chevy interiors I have seen (1500), maybe the GMC is better. The yacht hauling is a silly stunt, nothing new in marketing however. Great that they are all stepping up the game.
Wondering if it will be possible to have one in August, is that late enough summer? - TravlingmanExplorer II

The 10 speed that is going in it wasn't the one developed with Ford. That was for the 1/2 tons. 10 speed Allison
But, I think it was the tranny holding them back and they had to beef it up. Just like Ram had to beef up the Aisin to handle more power. - TravlingmanExplorer II

Did they finally fix the DEF tank location? I didn't notice it hanging down obnoxiously. I'm still not a fan of the IFS, and the mirrors look a little awkward to me, but overall this would be my pick for favorite of the newest crop of diesels.
They said they moved the DEF tank location, and the DEF fill is now beside the diesel fill instead of under the hood. - GrooverExplorer II
