2022 F350 on order

I ordered a 2021 F-350 back in January. The dealer told me that, annually, there is a cutoff date when orders have to be in, then there are a few months that orders just basically sit. He told me that ordering a 2022 and hoping for September delivery would be "optimistic". He also told me that, in the model I ordered, there were basically no changes, so I ordered the 2021.

As of Tuesday, my truck was on a train car. Hoping for delivery this week.

There is a huge delay for auto manufactures on chipsets from China. COVID slowed down lots of production on electronics and one is effecting the Auto industry very bad. I have read some reports that manufacturers expect very long delays in delivering new vehicles this year due to this.

I work in a similar industry and we use components also found in cars and trucks. We are expecting a very long delay, mostly because we don't order the quantities of a GM or Ford. This after having to deal with similar delays in 2020, we just got back to normal delivery times, now this...

scheduling is supposed to start 4/15.

I'm hoping for a late summer delivery.

My Brother in Law ordered his 2022 F-350, and my Son In Law ordered his 2022 F-250 yesterday yesterday. They are saying mid to Late August..

I would bet no one sees a 22 they ordered till at least July. Dealers might get a handful before then so potential customers can see what they look like.

congrats, sounds like a nicely equipped rig.

I for one have been very happy with my LED headlights and the performance but that's compared to my previous 2013 - i haven't driven a halogen equipped 2017+ super duty at night.

Dec 28 been 11 weeks and still no truck and no indication when hope to have it before 2022. Get more frustrated by the day dealer is supposed to be getting back to me with some update tomorrow.

On the one hand these trucks are expensive but the cost of owning one is really not that bad .... they hold their value quite well.
