2104 Keystone Hideaway 280lhs

Thinking of trading in my old 97 Innsbruck in on a 2104 Keystone Hideaway 280lhs. Anyone own one or a previous model that can give me a quick review? I find it inexplicable that there are almost no review websites that target individual models of RVs...
  • Well I pulled the trigger and ordered one last weekend for $15,000. It should arrive in about 4 weeks so I'll let you guys know how it goes! Here is layout:

  • I wonder if it basically the same floorplan as my Bullet?

It's a 2012 F150 EB SuperCrew. It's rated at 7800lb so this trailer is about as heavy as I would comfortably tow. My Innsbruck is 4800lb and it doesn't even feel like it's back there half the time.

It might be a good idea to check the max payload for your F150. Towing capacity is only half the story. Be sure that the new trailer's tongue weight plus you, your passengers, and stuff in the truck don't go over that limit.

  • 1-2 years for all TTs. Not really a big deal, especially if you are handy. Mine has never been back to dealer after 4 summers. If you are concerned that much, every dealer offers extended warranties.

There are at least 20 different brands with a variation of that floorplan with sales prices in the $16k-$21k. I highly recommend comparing some more. With the fix costs of RVing and depreciation, a couple thousand dollars now might save you in the long run. Get the one you like. Some people want basics, some people want brand, some people want fancy stuff, some people want conveniences, some want large TVs.

At 6500-ish pounds dry, that might be pushing comfortable half ton comfort. What's your tow vehicle?
  • Thanks! I love the floor plan and the interior looks great and the over all value in the trailer seems great.I'm just worried about longevity. Those limited 1 year warranties aren't very reassuring...
  • There are far more TT brands/models than car sales, with far fewer sales total. That means not nearly as many sales of any given model.

Hideout is one of Keystones value brands. Stick and tin, medium oak stain and veneer. That floorplan is very similar to mine at about 1300 pounds more. We love ours!
