285/75R/16 tires

We have 285/75-16 Nitto's on 2500 Silverado HD. Aftrmarket rims are American Racing Daggers. rims are 9 or 9.5 wide.

Like the ride of both tires and rims. Had Gear Alloy rims and had the rear 2 crack and one broke completely. Daggers feel much more stable.

Would buy Nitto's again. Don't know about winter weather as we live in Fl.

Rear axle weight is approx. 6400-6600 depending if generator is on front hitch or not. Scaled at a CAT scale for weights.

I went from huge 315/70/17 to 285/70/17 to get better mileage, and I went with 70 instead of 75 because my tire guy told me that size would be easier to find in small town. My mileage increased 1 MPG on a larger heavier camper

My wheels are Alum. OEM Ford
I don't how wide they are

Yeah...I hear 'ya. But if the mileage is as good as they claim and/or they stand by the warranty, then the cost is worth it.
Wear are you at for mileage on the Toyos?

What size are your OEM wheels?

Aluminum or steel?

Strongest rims are made by Alcoa and are forged not the regular cast rims that most all are.

In my opinion I do not want 19 1/2'' rims nor a dually truck so I found the Alcoa rims and put on load 'E' range tires from Michelin. Runnin 10 yrs and no problems.

We have 245 75r 16 on our truck these are stock Mitchelins . We've gone all over the states, Canada , Alaska ....not just once but several times. Never had a flat or blow out . Our camper weighted in @ 3267 dry according to the tag . The truck according to the registration weighted in @ 6600 . After several mods I decided on a whim to weight them loaded with my wife,two grandchildren, my som & myself. The gross weight was a shock to say the least . We are over weight ! Lol....

Bedrocker...how are the Toyo M55 in winter conditions?

The Nitto DG, Cooper ST MAXX or AT3 in 285/75R/16 look pretty good too...
