2nd A/C and Fantastic
So, I am new here and new to owning a TT. I have had previous use of small RV's, just never owned any.
My TT is a Mallard M302. The front bedroom has a vent with no prewire. The bathroom has a vent with a tiny fan. The rear area is a kitchen/living room and has a 13,500 btu A/C in the "middle" and a vent with A/C prewire in the rear/kitchen. I do know HVAC and understand venting. I feel fairly confident I can fish wire where needed in the trailer.
My wife would like an A/C unit installed in the bedroom for when hotter weather comes. I would like to install a powered vent ( like a Fantastic) in the kitchen as well as replace the unit in the bathroom.
In the interest of simplicity, it would seem easier to put the A/C in the kitchen (giving me two units in the same area) and installing the Fantastic in the bedroom to help bring the air to the bedroom.
I do have things to look into as far as getting the best from the current A/C unit, like I have found where the factory ran a wire through the styrofoam near the bathroom register to get 12v to a light in the bathroom. They didn't fill it in so I have a leak into the roof as well as reduced airflow down that one side.
Any suggestions or experiences. The second A/C unit will probably happen one way or the other, so opinions on setup given what I have would also be appreciated.
