You can get either the 3.42 or 4.10 with the Aisin transmission with a DRW according to the build site, if you select the 3.73 you are prompted to lose the diesel/Aisin package.

I am very disappointed in the least in the incompleteness of the RAM 2013 website AND still no 2013 brochures....

As a Dodge owner, I can tell you that when I purchased my truck I was told that the 4:10 only came with the manual transmission. So, seeing a 4:10 rear end available might be confusing.

the Ram build site is messed up.

3:73 is available, as well as 4:10.

You don't need 4.10 or any other low ratio like that with the Aisin 6-speed automatic.

The Aisin handles the gearing. It has a nice low 1st gear to get the load moving even with a 3.42 rear axle ratio.

It has 3 intermediate gears for getting up to highway speed.
5th gear is for cruising with a load.
6th gear is for cruising empty.

Plus you've got *YES* power and torque from the Cummins engine.

I was on the Ram 3500 2013 build your own site. Now I have had trouble with these build sites for all of the auto manufactures so you can not be sure if the information you get is correct or not. But if I choose the 6.7 high output diesel with the Aisin 6 speed Automatic the only axle ratio it will let me choose is the 3:42. But in my thinking with the 850 ft lb engine and the torque/hp curve it has the 3:42 should work very well.
Has anyone received a 2013 3500 Ram with the Aisin automatic. If so what axle did you get?

This was asked a week or so ago. The 3.73 and 4.10 are available in the 3500 configuration.

Are they now using the Aisin tranny in the 3500? When I was shopping, it only came in the cab & chassis. I still have the Chrysler tranny.

The Aisin is now an option on the 2013.....

The 2013 isnt available yet in the 2500-3500.
