A good friend is a Ford dealer and she smoked everyone elses pricing on the same truck both times (and with other purchased vehciles). They do MSRP more, but by the time you go up to the Ecoboost and add Max Tow and/or a HD package you jump right past the price of a F-250. If you don't mind driving a 3/4 ton truck everyday I think they are a smarter purchase. The new truck definitely handles my trailer better, which I believe would be the longer wheel base, better equipped suspension and overall weight of the vehicle.
I agree with the downgraded engine to a point. I like the 6.2L about the same as the 3.5L EB, but if Ford makes a 5.0L EB and puts it in their Super Duty trucks than I smell a winner.
