Looking at an F250 with ratings label on vehicle showing Front GAWR 5,940#,
Rear GAWR 6,100#, and GVWR 10,000#. So what should I use as the GVWR value when using a 5th wheel weight calculator. The axles would total to a 12000# GVWR but the label says 10000#? Is this a legal limit so that if I am in an accident and it is found I was over the 10000# limit there could be a citation of some sort?
You're confusing gvwr and gcvw. GVW is the wieght of the truck with the load, cargo, pin weight etc. all in.
Gcvw includes the weight of the trailer as well and is way more than 10k for any HD pickup.
