If one does not have enough sense or reasoning to do some research on the actual specs of a 3/4 versus a 1 ton, and not see that a 3/4 tons rating are clearly derated to fit into the Class 2B 10,000 lbs GVWR limit then they have a bigger problem then not having common sense.
Hell, you can even option an F350 to have a 10,000 lbs GVWR limit even though it is identical in every way to the one with an 11,800 GVWR. Then there is the fact that you can option an F250 with the camper package and it is identical to the F350, but with an F250 badge. One look at the actual capabilities and ratings of the components will tell you this. However half tons are a different story like was stated before since most are not limited by the GVWR of their class.
