Toss in very bad to maybe oblique advise on these forums...that newbies
follow...as they don't have the background, yet, to filter
Why several comments do not display for me on this thread...blocked
because they are Proverbs26,4 to me
Why I'll not, as a general rule, provide 'yes' type of advice here,
but provide metrics HOW2 figure it out themselves. Of course my
opinions on whatever topic
Why say to first decide on your risk management (gambling) of where/what/etc
you are in reference to the ratings systems
Because I got onto this portal from members on my forum and other
forums asking me to comment 'here'....and....personally have a buddies
father make a purchase based on 'advice' on this portal that almost
killed his parents and himself after he drove over and traded
vehicles to drive the setup back home.
Also one guy who burned up his F150's diff following advice on this
portal and ruined his vacation to DisneyWorld. Spent all of his
vacation budget on motel/food/repair/etc in the middle of nowhere
and lost his deposits down in Florida
He wanted to sue that guy, but told him the advice here on this
freebie forum is worth the price paid...
Have deleted those PMs, as don't want to get into that kind of
legal mess
Posters forget or don't know that there are tons of 'lurkers'
following their advice as if it is the end all of all advice...for
they are ignorant of automotive or engineering or technology or
the laws of physics
'Ignorant' has become a bad connotation, but really means not
educated/learned/etc on the matter...not stupid or that direction
To tell someone that the leaf spring pack is the same is believable
for many, but there is much more to it than the spring pack itself
Even then, are the leaves of the same width? Same thickness? Same
pre-arch? and a big etc
Then are the brakes the exact same? Simple things like the thickness
of the disc (not just the overall, though mostly there, but the
two plates vs vane area), or the caliper piston dia, or the thickness
of the friction material, or/if there is a brake fluid bias valve
for front/rear proportioning, and another big ETC there

It may be common sense rules the day but for a new RVer it does get a bit confusing when all you are attempting is to do the right thing to keep yourself and your family in the safe zone.
