My thought would be why did you buy a 4x4 to start with and how often do you use it. If you have owned the truck for 3 years and put in in 4x4 5 times to say you have used it then go 2wd. If you bought a 4x4 because it takes you where you want to go and it gets used 50 times a year then you know the answer.
