Looking for Ford 6.2 liter gasser reviews. Last October I bought a 2017 Ford 250 6.2 gasser. I'm towing our 7500lb approx ready to camp TT. Looking for reviews from 6.2 owners from the real world. After 8k miles about 5k miles towing I am very happy. I know all specific engines have personality so other than routine maintenance is there anything that I need to know about the 6.2 ? From owners with more miles than me. This engine is a beast towing. I have the 3.73 rear end which is fine for our TT it tows like a utility trailer. Experience for me from Ford has been good. I drive my 2000 f150 5.4 triton daily. 118k trouble free miles. The company I worked with for 28 years used the gas e350 v8 gas vans and would get 200 to 300k miles with routine maintenace. My last van was a 1998 e350 with 345k miles with only a fuel pump replacement.

If I ever sell my 7.3 ford, I will consider a 6.2 with the 4.30 rear gears. All the reviews sound great. With that being said, I hope I don’t have to replace my 7.3 for a long time!

Well I don't have one sorry. However I will say that I have a coworker that does and has nothing but good to say about it. It's a great truck no doubt. When he pulls his camper he reported 7.5-8.0 mpgs. Empty he said 15 highway. I just don't know if he's got the 3:73 or 4:30, and I don't know the actual weight of his camper. I know it's about 34 foot like mine. And to add, I had one guy come in for OT a few weeks back and he owns a Ford 6.0 diesel. He's still getting it repaired and has about 10g into it. I don't know specifics but he said he's going to finish getting it fixed and sell, then picking up the 18 F250 with the 6.2. So I will report on that when he gets it and tows his race car trailers up to TN.

If I ever sell my 7.3 ford, I will consider a 6.2 with the 4.30 rear gears. All the reviews sound great. With that being said, I hope I don’t have to replace my 7.3 for a long time!

There's a hot shotter that runs around this area and his 6.2 went ~400k+ miles when the cams started galling. The truck itself and drivetrain was in very good shape so he repowered with another 6.2 reman from Ford. I think he's now pushing 500k miles and still has the original transmission.

We purchased a 2017 F250 for my MIL about a year ago to replace her Expedition and it basically gets an oil change once a year and maybe a wash job and thats about it.

Great truck...

Fish no one asked about a Hemi or CTD. I enjoy coming here and reading threads and occasionally contributing, but as always you ruin it with your bias. Im not a Ram or Cummins fan boy but do get tired of you hijacking every thread. Your what we call a telephone tough guy, insult everything and everyone you don’t like from behind your computer. Let see... I responded to Troll Again with his useless comment (no one asked about a Power Stroke) and then on topic with the OP.

Sgfrye had the 6.2 in a F-250 at work before being replaced with a Ecoboost. The engine was very reliable with only a few minor issues in the 100k I had it. I work for a utility so we have a large fleet of mostly Ford gas and a smaller fleet equally split between Powerstrokes and Cummins. The Ford 6.2, Ecoboost, and Cummins have been rock solid, the 6.7 Powerstrokes are hit or miss.
