I've been pretty lucky with this truck. Only replaced the upper and lower radiator hoses. And finally fed up with the clouds of smoke at regens. Turns out DPF was going bad at 76,000 miles, so I deleted the DPF, put a straight pipe in its place and a stock tune on it. My mileage has improved and no more regens. Technically I'm now a criminal by the EPA.
I'm thinking of getting rid of it anyways and go back to gas and maybe a 6.2L.
You know you don't have to get Ford.
After this disaster why go with the same failed company?
Cuz I like Fords body styles, and my father in law has the employee a,x,z plan. Always had Fords, except in Europe I had a Honda Acura.
And if you go 6.2 gas it will be more reliable than any diesel on the market. Problem solved.
:)
Thanks!
