- IdaDExplorerSo far, the EVIC in my Ram has been close to dead on as well.
- tragusa3ExplorerMy Ford matches hand calcs to within a tenth.
The 6.4 really has my attention. A 3/4 ton is a possibility for us, and that would be at the top of my list. - Community Alumni

And what did you get going by the hand calculations?
Sorry, I have done enough hand calculations in many different vehicles to never beleive what that lie-o-meter says especially in Rams. I have had many friends tell me they get 20 mpg in their older diesel compared to the 16-17mpg I average in my newer diesel only to find out they were quoting their trucks lie-o-meter compared to my hand calculations. When they did do the hand calculations then they found out they were actually getting 14 mpg which is a far cry from 20mpg. Hell, even my Ram's lie-o-meter is always 2 mpg or more off and it is a new truck.
TFL did some MPG tests with Rams earlier this year and each time they found the EVIC was pretty close to the hand calculations. Actually each time the EVIC underestimated the MPG (the truck did better). They found this to be true in the 1500, 2500, and 3500. I think the 1500 and 2500 were unloaded and the 3500 was loaded. - ib516Explorer II

Not bad... Is that one way or round trip?
Would like to see what that number looks like closer to 70mph.
It's US mpg.
I had the cruise set at 68 mph - but the average speed comes out to 62 as it includes a few stop lights and pee breaks (4 and a half hours people!). If set the cruise to go 62 mph I can get 20 mpg.
Truck was loaded with tent camping gear, mountain bike, and my kayak. - spud1957Explorerib516, does Ram convert to US MPGs or IMP MPGs. My Ford converts to US MPGs.
Very impressive either way.
S - Dave_H_MExplorer IIThat looks good to me, but at 62 mph, thinking of how people blow me off the road when I am cruising at 70, someone may be hit you in the booty.
Just kidding, I sure wish my 6.2 Ford could show those kind of numbers. - Sprink-FitterExplorerI had a HHR for awhile, the mpg meter was always off, by hand the mileage was between 2-3 better.
