6-ply or 10-ply?

For all you SRW drivers hauling TCs....

Do you buy 6-ply or 10-ply tires?

I've been using 10-ply tires for quite a while but yesterday, a tire guy told me that 6-ply was more than enough for my weight.

I don't think so.

How about you?

This is one of the silliest notions I have heard. Getting better tires reduces the risk of failure and costs only a bit more. Better tires do not increase the risk of some other component failing. If your wheels, springs or axles are marginal it is best to look at those also.
