Are you reading any of this thread? RADIAL is the style of construction. You want a RADIAL tire, not a BIAS PLY tire.
The E rating is what the old "10 ply" rating was.
You want a RADIAL TIRE that is E RATED... - CALandLINExplorer

I went and looked at some specs and found that almost all Savoy trailers in your weight description have 5200# vehicle certified axles and 15” wheels. So, using the 10% load capacity reserve recommendation from RVIA you would need ST225/75R15 LRE tires inflated to 80 PSI. Tim wilson wrote:
GVWR, scale weight or axle weight. I assume two axles?

Exactly what size does it have now? What is the OEM size?
Otherwise I recommend Goodyear Endurance.- campiglooExplorerFrom everything I read from the tire manufacturers is ST is not a marketing classification as some seem to believe. Since the funcion or trailer tires is just to follow the tread patterns are different. Since they squirm instead of turn and since side winds affect trailers much differently that it does a truck, the sidewalks are considerably stiffer. This also helps to eliminate sway. Maybe take a look at Goodyear Marathons. My trailer is 10k and my third set of Carlisle Radial Trails have been good. I suggest not going anything less than E rated and maybe even consider G.

Most if not all of the HRs were available with LTs as an option.
Thanks everyone... I am down sizing from my motor home and after about 6 years I have not been up to speed on the TT tire stuff. Seems to me that mtofell 1, got my attention. *** huntindog, 15 inch currently with radial.*** jimnlin, gvwr is 10.000 lbs. I had misstated the 12.000 lbs as I just purchased the Trunon sway rig for $500.00 to be 1,step-up from that gvwr."getting rid of the radials and putting on the E's... DEGA BOUND... COME AND JOIN US. So it should be an easy swap. I would go with Michelin XPS RIBS. They are considered by many to be the gold standard. You will need to swap to 16" rims. There are more affordable LTs out there. But definantly get into 16" rims... That opens up a TON of tire choices. - Tim_wilsonExplorerThanks everyone... - mtofell1ExplorerMy 12,000# GVWR 5th wheel has D rated tires that I believe are stamped with 2600# a piece tires. The most I've ever had the trailer axles weigh is around 9000# (+/- 20% to the pin/truck = 2000#) If I were loaded to 100% of GVWR it would be close to max on the tires. If/when I replace I'll likely look into E rated for a bit more breathing room. But, I'm not even sure if the rims are rated for more. It is a bit frustrating that the manufacturer's don't build in more of a margin but I also have to remember there is a factor of safety engineered in to the ratings already.
- HuntindogExplorerWhat size tires and rims are on it now?
6 lug rims? - Edd505ExplorerThey all use ply ratings any more, the R is for radial vs bias ply. Here is how they size: The first three-digit number in the tire size refers to the tire width. For instance, in a size P215/65 R15 tire, the width is 215 millimeters. ... For example, in a size P215/65 R15 tire, the 65 means that the height is equal to 65% of the tire's width. The bigger the aspect ratio, the bigger the tire's sidewall will be.
Now I'll recommend looking at Yokohama Geolandar in your size. The tire is an LT or light truck vs ST or special trailer. I have run them trouble free on two 5W's about the same size as yours and am almost full time, about 9 months a year. Now we wait for all the naysayers
