6 WAY ROUND TO 7 WAY BLADE PIGTAIL
I just got a new to me, 97 Dodge Ram 2500 to pull my 20' TT. Unfortunately the plug on the bumper is a 6 way round. So what are my options : Should I pull it off and install a new 7 blade plug ?...

I would prefer to cut the 6 way off and have a 7 way. The adaptor will work fine. It's just two more connections in a critical system.
