Well my batteries are fully charged and sitting at 14.2V off the charger. I will let them rest a few days and check the voltage again. Now my converter charger (Progressive Dynamics 9200) , when plugged into shore power is putting out 13.68V with no batteries connected. One poster, westend, said "Your PD charger should reach 14.4 +V. You want to make sure it does." Would that be with a battery connected? Is the voltage too low? Trying to figure out why the batteries were so low after being plugged into shore power for 6 weeks.
AFAIK, the PD converter will output 14+V when first connected to depleted batteries. How long that stage lasts, I couldn't say. My PD converter is much older than yours so has different specs. I'd suggest to monitor voltage at the batteries with the converter powered.
13.6 V is a good float voltage for the 6V in series pair and is also the no-load voltage. If you haven't done an equalize charge on them, you could look at the PD converter manual and see if it hits that every so often.
