plug block heater in to get around glow plugs if they are bad. If in Arizona, glow plugs and block heater should not even be in the equation...dont need that stuff till down below freezing
Cam position sensor has probably failed...its one of those parts you put a spare in the glove box
On the front of the engine is the High Pressure Oil Pump HPOP, atop is a plug, pull it and see if its full of oil.
Lastly at 1/2 million on a 7.3 she is pretty much toast.
