97 Lance Squire 3000

I want to put a air conditioner in my new-to-me camper next spring.
I always thought they went in the vent midship, but it has the A/C connect box next to the aft vent.
Any ideas on this?

  • Install in aft vent where AC Power is available.

Unless you want to pull ceiling panels down and re-route AC wiring.

Not going to make a difference in overall cooling of camper.

Are you sure you have a 1997 Lance 'Squire 3000'.
Brochure/floorplan doesn't show a mid and an aft vent

    The Squire 4000 does

  • Old-Biscuit,

Don't know if it makes a difference, but camper is a LS3000EC with the short bed modification.
I have the original bill of sale and ALL of the paperwork, something that must be somewhat rare. Two owners and about as clean as you can get, minor some spots.
I sent an email through Lance Owners of America to Lance with model and serial number to get as much info as I can.
I already have a new Fantastic Vent to install, so I want to make sure which goes where.

  • I would make sure the junction box has 110 before I installed the a/c. There is a possibility the wiring for the a/c is inside after you remove the frame to install the a/c.

Just a suggestion which might make things easier
