Brad has been top notch to deal with. Any questions or concerns we've had, they have addressed very quickly.

I would not be scared a 850 of that era, very well built camper in some ways a better then the new ones, just my two cents. u.f.o

As I previously stated, AMLRV has outsourced fiberglass cap production. Per TCM 2011 interview:

"Greg: The front and rear molded wrap around fiberglass caps are one of the key features that make Eagle Cap campers unique. No other truck camper has front and rear wrap around fiberglass end caps. We purchased the end cap molds from the old Eagle Cap and are using the same front and rear caps in our 2012 Eagle Cap campers.

TCM: Have there been there any changes made to the quality of the fiberglass, resin, or high gloss gel coat for the molded fiberglass end caps?

Dave: The suppliers of the resin and gel coat have changed, but I believe the quality is higher. The company we’re using for the end caps is Miles Fiberglass & Composites in Portland, Oregon. Miles Fiberglass & Composites has produced fiberglass and composite parts for the RV industry for decades".



Not to take away from the new AMLRV EC, but much of this interview has a marketing bent... In spite of the discussion, the reason AMLRV switched from fiberglass sidewalls to Lamilux 4000 (a high quality gel-coated filon product atop azdel) was due to their desire to not engage in the timely manufacture of fiberglass gel-coated sidewalls (historically, always non-luan backed).

For the record, as far as previous generation EC leaks go, this issue had primarily affected the first generation EC owner/builder TC's (AMLRV's James Epp now the 3rd...) and the sole reason why (near end of 1st gen model run) this owner had decided to switch from filon to the innovative new one piece end caps. This costly re-tool (along with QC warranty issues...) conspired to put an end to the first owner/builder. The second owner was Chris Epp of Okanagan fame.

You are correct 3 Tons....he was giving me worst case....that is what I asked for...He was very helpful if in fact I wanted to look at it in giving me pointers of where to look and what to look for...kind of the standard stuff but nevertheless helpful.

This is a problem they inherited from previous owners, who were insolvent.

Adventurer LP bought the Eagle Cap brand.

Adventurer is a very large company and has thorough Quality Control.

From what I was told by EC's former General manager is that Adventurer did receive the molds, but since Adventurer is not at all interested in doing the actual fiberglass work (unlike the former EC), outsourced the molds and the associated work to one of their local area supplier/vendors...

The GM also told me that it is NOT necessarily a requirement to remove the EC nose piece in its entirety since it is often possible to make repairs (if needed...) from inside the TC by cutting and R&R the mattress deck from the interior....

I'm also doubtful that the front nose piece dimensions have changed in any significant way, the lower portion is cut to fit a particular model....I'd identify and contact the vendor, always good to get a second and expert opinion...

My latest I have a 2012 980 RDS and after reading on forums about floor giving out when off truck with water tanks full on other models of TC.
Is that a concern I should worry about with my Adventure??

Adventurer manufactures is campers so that they can be used off of the truck.

We too have very good results from Adventurer (Brad). We love our unit. The only change we would make would be the jacks.

Our next unit will be the new 116DS. Would love to have a sofa.

I was very pleased with AMLV and Brad when I dealt with some minor issues with my then 2012 Adventurer 86 FB. He was very quick to respond and set up service for me in Dallas. Wish I never sold it.(Long Story)
