On the road with my continuing adventures, Mt Rainier in Mt Rainier National Park.

Picture out my dinette window.

Picture on another day, sitting atop my Lance Camper during an evening’s sunset.
For ten days I was lucky to be boondocking, hiking, exploring and have this remarkable view out my window, every day (well, when the weather didn’t bath the mountains with clouds). This is a remarkable place, Mt Rainier National Park. In 1979 I had accepted a job here, as a backcountry National Park Ranger. But it seemed the call to become a state policeman was louder. I’ll never regret the choice I made, as the outcome of becoming a husband and a father was the greatest reward a man could have. For which I will be eternally grateful, for. It was certainly a Benchmark in my life in what direction I might have taken. I am pleased I finally made the journey here, albeit, 35 years later.
