We often camped at the Upper Blue Lake campground for a week or so in September, the best month to be there. PG&E employees were always very accommodating. It is a great place to camp. From Upper Blue Lake there is a jeep road that goes past Lost lakes and to the Pacific Crest trail, and if you follow it to the north back to Red Lake and California SR 88. From the crest it is easy to see almost everywhere including the Faith, Hope and Charity valleys. Thanks for the trip report.
