A true four season trailer or as close as possible

I have been trying to buy a Northwood Nash 26X travel trailer. It's the best cold weather trailer that I can find. Extra strong frame, stronger / thicker roof with extra insulation, large insulated tanks with the furnace hot air heating them. I'd like a 2006 model.

There are two on the east coast at a reasonable price, but that's a long way from Alaska to make a quick run. There's one in the Spokane area but we can't come to agreement on pricing. And there's two in Oregon. I have to drive down to Washington at the end of the month and have no problem putting on some more miles, but I'm not really wanting to drive all the way to the east coast.

Since I'm not having much luck on finding a Nash 26X, what's the next best TT made for cold weather? There is the Arctic Fox 26X, but that's more than I can spend at the moment. I want to stay at about 26' - the 26X Nash has a separate bedroom which is what I want.

Can anyone suggest anywhere else to search? I've been using:
* Kijiji for searching Canada
* SearchTempest for all of Ebay and Craigslist
* A Google search on any Nash 26Xs for sale
* Even sent a request to Camping World a little while ago
* RVTrader.com
* RV-Trader.com
* RVT.com

Let me know what other cold weather trailer you could recommend.

Let me know if there's any additional ways I should be searching.

Thanks,

Bill

    I looked for a while and found a lot of their 5th wheelers for sale, but no TTs so far. Will look more tomorrow.

  • Try putting a want ad online and/or in some local papers. By want ad I mean you want to buy what you are looking for. Many times folks nearby will have what you want and they don't even realize someone is looking to buy it. Be prepared to pay a little more, though, due to supply and demand. Could turn out to be much cheaper than driving hundreds of miles to buy something sight unseen.
  • Nash, Arctic Fox, or one of the models made by their sister company Outdoors RV are the only ones I'd consider for 4 season usage.
  • Btw, you might find a nut like me online who will deliver your trailer for you... Just sayin ;)
  • Sounds like my elkridge. Not a thicker roof, but a well insulted roof with a small attic space. Heated enclosed underside. We were in -26 Celsius over Christmas and didn't have any issues. At - 28 c the radiant heat from the 5er wasn't enough and our propane stopped flowing. I fired up the geny and put a space heater in the basement. Mine was.one of many custom orders for Alberta oil field workers.
