Possible propane leak?
Hello everyone,
First off did a bunch of googling around on possible issues but couldn’t find any specific answers to my exact issue.
I have a 2019 keystone Springdale with suburban sf-30 heater I believe. )or 35)
My issue is, it seems when I run the furnace it gives off a hint of a propane smell, not super potent but gets the attention of your nose when you open the door to walk in while furnace has been running. . Haven’t dissembled much due to warranty and don’t want to void anything, sprayed soap solution propane line going into side of furnace and no bubbles.
I have no issues or smell using the fridge/stove/cooktop or water heater on propane.
Wife mentioned she rotated the regulator valve the wrong direction around but not 100% if that is an issue or not? Seem to have a propane smell inside of tank cover as well. Don’t recall if it was there prior or not.
Also thought maybe that killed the regulator and was allowing higher pressure propane through and that’s why the furnace had a smell inside to it. But doesn’t make sense if no other propane appliance has issues.
Any insight is appreciated!
Further note, long weekend up here in Canada so calling dealer tomorrow to see about getting fixed before my hunting trip on the 15... but may have to look at this myself as well.
