I'm on my annual trip from CA to MT. Came up the coast this year to escape the heat I had last year in E Oregon and ID. Worked out well.I've been to the N part of Olympic National Park a few years back, but never to the W part. Camped a couple of nights at the Hoh Rain Forest campground in the Park and really enjoyed it. Nice campground at $12/night, but even better with the Golden Geezer 50% discount.Weather was perfect. I took the two short nature hikes (3/4 mi Hall of Mosses and 1-1/4 mi Spruce Trail). Glad I did. Here are a few pictures from those hikes.Other pictures on my website.

Fascinating, isn't it. I've been there........heard something I've never heard before.......I've been in the woods all my life and THAT sound frightened me. Nope, not a drop of alcohol had passed my lips. I seriously believe there COULD be a BigFoot after being in that forest.....you can't see 100 feet in front of you.

We all know that you like to fish. Have you discovered yet that the Hoh Rain Forest is so wet that you can probably catch fish right out of the air?

It is no fun going when the sun is out.
You need to go during the fall or spring when there is light shows. You know two or three buckets at a time!
Also take some of the trails in late evening, just before sunset. Everything is moving like ghosts!

A guy no Olympic Peninsulans had ever heard of before that so-called "reality show" aired. For some straight local skinny, please check out this article from our local paper.

Great pics...that is some beautiful country. The annual rainfall up there is unreal....makes for some lush forest greenery.

Looks nice ,did you see Mick Dodge,its a show about a guy that lives in those woods for 25 yrs now.
